Ok, maybe you didn’t ask, but here goes…rug tufting is the process of using a high speed automatic “gun” that works somewhat like a sewing machine with a foot and a needle threaded with yarn. The gun pushes the yarn through the openings of the tufting cloth and trims the end. Once complete adhesive is applied to the back, along with a backing cloth and VIOLA! You got yourself a custom handmade rug!

At CUT A RUG you are offered the opportunity to create a unique handmade piece of art. You’ll arrive for your workshop where refreshments and some good tunes will be waiting for you. Your predetermined design drawn as a guide on the fabric on your tufting frame…totally ready for you and that yarn to make beautiful music together! After a brief introduction to the equipment and some hands-on demonstrations and practice, you’ll be ruggin’ like you never thought you could!
